With command of all elements and the knowledge that comes with many centuries of experience, he was a living legend even among his own kin. He was greatly respected by the clan he led, and just as greatly feared by outsiders. He had fought in many wars, and seen many more. He had seen nations rise and fall, and had occasionally had a hand in these events. He had seen the very face of Mobius change time and time again, and he would live to see it change yet more. Despite all this, Miles Prower had never forgotten his childhood, and those who had been so very important to him.

While I left it up to the reader to decide whether or not Tails was a legendary kitsune, I am firmly in the 'yes' camp. I like to think that at a certain point, he'll stop aging and instead, as time wears on, his tails will start splitting. Since he got such a powerful start in life, I also like to think that he will eventually rise to be the leader of the Kitsune Clan, and therefore become a ninetails. Or the other way around. Whatever.

Of course, it takes a thousand years for a kitsune to grow nine tails, so by then, everyone would be long gone. I wanted to show the older Miles looking back on his past, so what he's holding there is a Sonic-quill, because him holding a shoe would look too silly and Sonic doesn't really have anything else. ._. I like to think Miles wears the quill in his hair or something. That would look cool. XD

It was fun trying to come up with things an ancient Tails might still have from his kit-hood, like Rotor's glasses or Antoine's sword, and of course, I'd imagine he's kept Nicole in working order.
